Amena Musavi

Amena Musavi, an illustrator and graphic designer from Afghanistan, now living and working in Ireland. she studied Graphic Design at Kabul University and started working in the field, but along the way, she realised that her real passion was drawing. it’s something she’ve loved since she was a child. That feeling became stronger when she worked as an art teacher in a private school. Many of her students, especially girls, had grown up with fear and limits. But when they picked up a pencil, she saw a spark in their eyes. They were dreaming, maybe for the first time. That moment changed her. she started illustrating children’s books with an Afghan publisher, worked with UNESCO on educational books, and created over 300 illustrations for The Muslim Institute. Now she create art that brings hope, colour, and meaning. For her, drawing isn’t just a skill — it’s a way to share love, tell stories, and inspire others to dream too.
